Attend the Alaska Airmen’s Association Great Alaska Aviation Gathering with other Women in Aviation! Meet at the Palmer Fairgrounds, where the main Gathering will be held, outside Raven Hall at 1 pm. There are tons of things to do and see, but a great backcountry CFI from Idaho, Lori McNichols, will be speaking at 1:45 pm and that may be an item of interest for some of you. This will be an informal meeting, and we won’t all rigidly stay together during the entire event, but the idea is simply to allow for the opportunity to see friendly faces at an event we can all love.
There is plenty of free parking available at the Fairgrounds, and if you choose to fly into Palmer Airport, there will be attractions there also, and there is a free shuttle between the two venues.
Afterwards there is live outdoor music at the Palmer Alehouse starting at 7 pm for those who wish to extend the party. There is also camping available in the vicinity of Palmer fairgrounds and many options for lodging.
